This means that when your grandkids are using your devices, they won’t be able to accidentally exit the app they were using or make any unwanted changes to the device.
So let’s say they have a YouTube video up, this will make sure they can’t exit out of it and go to something else.
Now, you may be wondering, “How do I enable Guided Access?” It’s actually quite simple!
Steps To Enable Guided Access
1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and select “Accessibility.”
3. Scroll down again and select “Guided Access” under “General.”
4. Toggle the switch to turn on Guided Access.
5. Set a passcode that you will remember (and/or enable FaceID). This will be used to exit Guided Access mode.
6. Open the app you want to use and triple-click the home button. If your iPhone doesn’t have a home button, triple-click the side button.
7. Adjust any settings as needed, such as disabling touch or motion controls.
That’s it! You’re now in Guided Access mode, which means that only the selected app will be accessible until you enter your passcode to exit the mode.
Now, you may be thinking, “But what if I need to use my phone for something else while my grandkids are using it?” Don’t worry, you can easily exit Guided Access by triple-clicking the home or side button again and entering your passcode.
