Recipes are a staple of grandmas, that’s for sure. And while I probably can’t hold a spatula to some of your recipes, especially the ones that have been passed down for generations, I can whip up some really SIMPLE ones that are always a big hit with the grandkids.

Raspberry Lemonade Popsicles

Beat the summer heat with this fruit-based popsicle recipe. And who doesn’t love popsicles on a hot day? The grandchildren will go crazy for this flavor and keep coming back for more!

Ingredients:

-1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries
-1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
-1/4 cup honey or agave syrup
-1 1/2 cups water

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, puree the raspberries, lemon juice, and honey or agave syrup until smooth.
  2. Pour the raspberry-lemon mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds, pressing the solids with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  3. Stir in the water and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into the popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
  5. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.

Creamy Peach-Banana Popsicles

  1. In a blender, puree the peaches, bananas, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and cinnamon until smooth.

-1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
-1 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Combine all 3 ingredients and mix well.
  2. Spoon 1/2 cup of prepared mixture into a microwave-safe mug.
  3. Microwave on high for 1-1/2 minutes.
  4. Allow time to cool. Enjoy cake as is, or top it with whipped cream or ice cream.
  5. (You can repeat this process with the remaining mix or refrigerate it in an air-tight container for up to 48 hours.)
