Sometimes all we want is for the men in our lives to notice us a little, just a simple compliment or some acknowledgment when we’ve gone out of our way to make ourselves look nice. You know, like when we do our hair, slip into something we feel pretty in, or even take the time to paint our nails. That little “Wow, you look lovely” can mean the world.
That’s why I completely understood the little girl in today’s video. She had just gotten her nails freshly painted and was so proud of them. With all the confidence in the world, she walked right up to her dad and put those tiny nails right in his face, waiting for that sparkle of approval. But instead of a big reaction, she got… nothing. Not a word, not a smile. Just silence.
The look on her face as she turned away in adorable disappointment says it all. It’s such a sweet, funny reminder of how much acknowledgment matters, whether you’re a grown woman or a little girl showing off her new nails.
