November is in full swing, and Thanksgiving is coming, which is a perfect time to count our blessings and thank God for all the good He has given us! Since you’re here, I know what you consider one of your greatest blessings: Your grandchild(ren).

While I try to pray and thank God multiple times a day for my grandkids and other blessings, I thought it would be fitting to write a prayer that I could share with you, my fellow grandmas. I hope that it resonates with you and warms your heart! God bless, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.

Dear Lord,

As the leaves turn golden and the air carries the crisp promise of Thanksgiving, my heart turns to You in gratitude for the precious gift of my grandchildren. In this season of thanks, I lift them up in prayer with all the love and hope that fills my heart.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for their laughter that rings like music, for their curious eyes that see wonder in the ordinary, and for their pure hearts that remind us of Your love. Bless them, Lord, with a life rich in love, brimming with joy, and abundant in opportunities.

Guide their steps, O Lord, on a path that leads to a fulfilling and purposeful life. Grant them the strength to face challenges with courage and the resilience to rise from setbacks. May they walk through life with a kind heart, a strong spirit, and a compassionate soul.

Surround them with Your love, so they may always feel secure and cherished. Instill in them a sense of gratitude, not only for the material blessings but for the everyday miracles that grace their lives. May they grow to appreciate the beauty of Your creation and the warmth of human kindness.

Lord, bless them with wisdom to choose right from wrong and the clarity to make decisions that honor You. Fill their lives with laughter, their days with purpose, and their hearts with an unending capacity to love.

Protect them, Almighty Father, in their journeys and adventures. Keep them safe in Your embrace, and let Your presence be a comforting and guiding light in their lives.

And finally, Lord, in Your infinite wisdom, continue to guide us, their grandparents, to be sources of wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love for them. Help us to be their rock, their safe haven, and a reflection of Your love.

In Your Holy Name, we pray,

Amen.

I am sending you all my love and heartfelt prayers this Thanksgiving season. Let’s cherish these moments with our grandkids, for they are among God’s greatest blessings. God bless you all, my fellow Devoted Grandmas.
