Before I share which sites are the best for free coloring pages, I wanted to share why coloring is so essential for children in the first place! In addition to keeping them busy and off screens, coloring teaches kids hand-eye coordination and hand strength, plus it improves fine motor coordination and develops focus.
These may seem like a no-brainer, but there are even more positives for coloring with your grandchildren, as coloring also:

Super Coloring may just be my favorite site of them all, as it contains nearly 100,000 pages, all of which are free! No matter what it is you are looking for, you are almost guaranteed to find it, thanks to not only the vast selection but also the convenient search bar that makes finding the perfect picture even easier.
Faber-Castell
Does the name Faber-Castell sound familiar? It should, as it has been manufacturing quality art utensils since 1761! Not only do they make things to color with but also things to color on via their impressive selection of unique coloring pages. (My favorites are the “Little People, BIG DREAMS” pages with Muhammad Ali and Georgia O’Keeffe.)
Best Coloring Pages for Kids
Let’s just say there’s a reason they call it the Best Coloring Pages for Kids! Divvied up into easy-to-search categories (I.e., Nature, Cartoons, and Movies and TV), BCPK has everything you and your grandchild could want. Bonus? They even have Disney pages for Frozen and/or Cars fans!
Coloring Pages Only
My go-to for hard-to-find and sometimes obscure coloring pages is Coloring Pages Only, which, like Super Coloring, has a handy search bar plus an easy-to-navigate home page complete with recently-added options and a list of the most popular downloads.
The Color
The Color offers a few options for their sheets, as you can either color them online or print them out. I always opt for the latter! I have also found that the designs on The Color are more generic than others (as in a plain airplane vs. a licensed plane with a face from a cartoon), which makes for more opportunities to get creative!
Art is Fun
If you have older grandchildren (or younger grandchildren who are exceptionally good at coloring in the lines), you will want to check out Art is Fun, founded by artist and educator Thaneeya McArdle. While some of her pages cost money, she offers stunning sheets for free and will even email you a free new page every month!
