Oh, May… such a gentle, hopeful month. Everything feels like it’s waking up again, the flowers, the sunshine, even our hearts a little bit. And you know, my dear, there’s something so special about sending a simple message to our grandkids each day. A few kind words can sit with them longer than we’ll ever know.

Sometimes they won’t say much back. Sometimes they’ll just send a little emoji. But don’t you worry, those words? They’re sinking deep.

So here we are… 31 little notes of love, one for each day of May. Think of them as tiny hugs sent through a phone.

May 1
Good morning, sweetheart. Remember, you don’t have to be perfect today, just try your best, and that will always be enough.

May 2
I hope you know how proud I am of you, even on the days you don’t feel proud of yourself.

May 3
Take your time today. Life isn’t a race, no matter how fast the world tries to move.

May 4
You have such a kind heart. Never let anyone make you feel like that’s a weakness.

May 5
If something feels hard today, that just means you’re growing. And oh, how beautiful that is.

May 6
Don’t forget to smile today, even a small one can brighten someone else’s whole day.

May 7
You are stronger than you think… and braver than you feel.

May 8
Mistakes are just little lessons in disguise. Don’t be afraid of them, my love.

May 10
You don’t have to have everything figured out. Even we grandmas are still learning.

May 11
Be gentle with yourself today. You’re doing better than you realize.

May 12
You have a light inside you that this world needs; never dim it for anyone.

May 13
If today feels heavy, just take it one step at a time. That’s more than enough.

May 14
You are allowed to rest. You don’t always have to be “on.”

May 15
The way you care about others is something very special. Hold onto that.

May 16
Even on quiet days, you are still growing, still becoming something wonderful.

May 17
Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Yours is uniquely beautiful.

May 18
I believe in you, always have, always will.

Be proud of the small things you accomplish today. They matter more than you think.

May 20
You are never alone, even when it feels like it. I’m always right here loving you.

It’s okay to ask for help. Strong people do that too.

May 22
Your voice matters. What you think and feel is important.

May 23
Today is a fresh start. Whatever happened yesterday can stay there.

May 24
You make the world a better place just by being in it.

May 25
Don’t be afraid to try something new today, you might surprise yourself.

May 26
You are more capable than you give yourself credit for.

May 27
Even the smallest act of kindness you show today can mean everything to someone else.

May 28
Take a deep breath. You’ve made it through hard days before; you’ll get through this one, too.

May 30
Chase the things that make your heart feel alive.

May 31
As this month ends, I hope you see just how far you’ve come. I’m so proud of you.

You see, my dear, it doesn’t take much. Just a few words, sent with love, can become something they carry with them for years.

And one day, oh, one day, they might just say,
“Grandma, those little messages you used to send… they meant more than you knew.”

And that right there? That’s everything.

Sweet little reminder:
Don’t wait for the “perfect moment” to reach out. Send the text. Say the words. Love them out loud while you can. 💛
