The Storm Before the Clearing

There was a man named Adrian who believed progress should always move forward.

Step by step. Improvement after improvement.
To him, getting better meant things should steadily feel easier.

So when everything in his life seemed to unravel at once, he felt completely lost.

His plans fell through.
His routine broke apart.
Things he had worked hard to build suddenly felt uncertain.

“What did I do wrong?” he kept asking himself.

It felt like he was moving backward instead of forward.

One evening, overwhelmed and frustrated, Adrian went for a walk. Dark clouds had gathered, and before he knew it, a heavy storm began to pour.

Rain fell hard. The wind picked up. The sky looked chaotic and unpredictable.

Adrian took shelter under a small awning, watching as the storm intensified.

For a moment, it felt like everything was being torn apart.

But then, slowly, the rain began to ease.
The wind softened.
The clouds started to break.

Soon, sunlight pushed through, and the air felt fresher than it had before. The world looked cleaner, brighter, as if the storm had cleared something that needed to be washed away.

Adrian stood there, realizing something he hadn’t considered before.

The storm wasn’t a setback.

It was part of the process.

Sometimes things need to break down so they can be rebuilt properly. Sometimes discomfort and chaos come before clarity and growth.

From that day on, Adrian stopped seeing every difficult moment as a failure.

Instead, he began to ask, What is this preparing me for?

Because life doesn’t always improve in a straight line.

Sometimes it dips, shakes, and unsettles everything…

Only to make room for something better.

And often, the moment when everything feels like it’s getting worse…
is the moment just before things begin to get better. 🌤️💛
