There was a young woman named Tessa who had always liked knowing what came next.

She planned her days carefully, mapped out her goals, and found comfort in having a clear path ahead. For a long time, life followed that plan.

Until it didn’t.

One season brought unexpected changes, opportunities that required big decisions, paths that weren’t clearly marked, and questions no one could answer for her.

For the first time, Tessa felt unsure.

The future looked wide and open… but also uncertain.

At night, her thoughts would race.

What if I choose wrong?
What if things don’t work out?
What if I’m not ready for what’s ahead?

The fear made her hesitate.

One evening, needing space from her thoughts, Tessa went for a walk. The sun was setting, and the path ahead of her slowly grew darker as the light faded.

She stopped for a moment.

“I can’t see where this leads,” she said quietly.

An older woman walking nearby heard her and smiled.

“You don’t need to see the whole path,” she said gently. “You just need enough light for the next step.”

Tessa looked down.

The ground right in front of her was still visible.

She took one step.

Then another.

The path didn’t suddenly become clear. The future didn’t reveal itself all at once. But with each step, she could see just enough to keep going.

And slowly, something shifted.

The fear didn’t disappear, but it no longer controlled her.

Tessa realized something important:

Being scared of the future is normal. It means you’re stepping into something unknown, something that matters.

But you don’t need all the answers to move forward.

You just need to trust that you can handle what comes next.

Because life isn’t about seeing the entire road ahead…

It’s about having the courage to take the next step,
even when the future feels uncertain. 💛
