The Days That Felt Heavy

March 18, 2026

There was a man named Caleb who had always been steady.

He handled responsibilities well, stayed organized, and kept moving forward no matter what came his way. People often described him as strong, the kind of person who didn’t easily fall apart.

But one season of his life felt different.

Nothing dramatic had happened all at once. Instead, it was a slow build, small disappointments, unexpected challenges, quiet exhaustion. Day by day, it began to wear on him.

Tasks that once felt easy now felt heavy.
Motivation faded.
Even simple things took more effort than they should have.

Some mornings, Caleb sat at the edge of his bed, staring at the floor, trying to gather the energy just to begin the day.

What’s wrong with me? He wondered.

But deep down, he knew, this was just a rough spell.

One particularly difficult morning, he almost gave in to the urge to stop trying altogether. To stay in bed. To ignore everything waiting for him.

Instead, he made a small decision.

Just stand up.

He didn’t think about the whole day.
He didn’t think about solving everything.

He just stood.

Then he took one step.
Then another.

The day wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t productive or inspiring. But he moved through it, slowly, imperfectly, but steadily.

And the next day, he did the same.

Weeks passed like this. Some days were slightly better. Some were just as hard. But Caleb kept showing up, even when it felt like he was dragging himself forward.

Until one day, without warning, something shifted.

The weight felt lighter.
The fog began to lift.
The energy slowly returned.

Caleb realized then that he hadn’t been stuck; he had been moving through something.

And the reason he made it to the other side wasn’t that he felt strong the whole time…

It was because he refused to stop.

Because sometimes, life doesn’t ask you to be at your best.

Sometimes, it simply asks you to keep going.

And even if you have to drag yourself through the hardest days,
Each step still counts.

And eventually…
You find your way back into the light. 💛
