It’s the little things in life that matter most. But every once in a while, a big surprise just feels right! Grandma Esther grew up poor, so her family always lived within their means and never splurged on the things they didn’t need. And she was fine with this; Family always came first, and having a roof over their heads and food on their plates was top priority.

But her entire life, she dreamed of going to Disneyland! As a little girl she would always watch Mickey Mouse and other Disney movies. Her late husband said that he once went and didn’t care for it much, and he didn’t think she would like it. Esther replied, “How do you know I’m not going to like it?”

And it had just been a very hard year for the family. They lost a cousin early in the year and then grandfathers on both sides later on, so the three granddaughters figured there was no better time to make Grandma Esther’s dream come true!

Alicia, Ocean, and Raquel decided to make it a surprise and had Grandma blindfold herself for the trip. And as they walked into the park, Esther kept her eyes closed until they told her she could open them. At that moment, the 72-year-old woman got to check something off the ol’ bucket list. She was so excited!

What a special moment, and her reaction is worth it alone! Watch her dream come true in the video below. 🙂
