Don’t be fooled by it’s colorful and animated presentation, it’s a classic movie for anyone of any age! One of Disney’s absolute bests, and that’s really saying something. I have even watched it again without the grandchildren around for my own enjoyment! As far as emotion and life lessons learned, the writers really knocked it out of the park with this one!
And when you mention the movie’s saddest scene, I think most people’s minds go to the same place. You know the one… Yeah, that one! As hard as it may be to watch, it’s a crucial piece to the overall plot and plays the biggest role in the outcome. And it turns out more than just humans are moved by the on-screen interaction…
In the video below, a dog named Luna is sitting through a viewing of the animated classic with her family. And when it gets to the part where Simba reacts to the death of his father, the four-month-old pup seems to understand exactly the gravity of the situation.
Watch as the sweet dog whimpers in response and lies down at the same time Simba lies next to his father. How does she even know? :,)
